Cogeneration consists of producing simultaneously useful heat and electric energy from one single unit. Cogeneration can be by means of a steam turbine/a gas turbine/a gas engine connected to the electrical generator.
A unit CHP contains:
- a gas turbine/an engine/steam turbine;
- accessories of recovering the thermal energy;
- control and command panels assisted by computer ;
- a protection system against noise.
